More than 100 years ago, W.J. Spaargaren was one of the first commercial nurseries to trade its products to North America and Japan.

Due to strict regulations surrounding the import of rooted plants, the planting material must be rinsed extensively before shipment. By specializing in this labor-intensive production process, W.J. Spaargaren was able to successfully gain access to complex international markets.
